Career Opportunities

NW Recovery Centers is a digital health platform created by professionals passionate about improving access to treatment resources. Our directory connects people across all 50 states with more than 12,000 verified rehabilitation facilities — usually during the hardest week of their lives.

We're a small, distributed team building the kind of resource we wish had existed when someone close to us needed treatment. The behavioral-health space is full of marketing-funded directories that surface paid placements first; we built the opposite — a free, directly-searchable index of accredited centers with insurance, levels of care, conditions, and treatment methods filtered upfront. Our work touches engineering, content, clinical review, partnerships, and data verification, and we hire across all of those areas when we can.

We don't take advertising from treatment centers, we don't monetize lead generation, and we don't adjust rankings based on partner relationships. That posture matters because the people using our directory are often making decisions in crisis — for themselves or for someone they love — and they deserve information that hasn't been bent toward whoever paid the most.

Areas We Hire For

Even when there are no active openings, we keep a short list of candidates we'd like to talk to first when budget opens up. These are the kinds of roles that come up most often.

Engineering

Full-stack TypeScript work on a Next.js + Supabase stack: search, filtering, structured data, performance, and ingestion pipelines for keeping facility records accurate.

Content & Editorial

Writers and editors with healthcare experience who can turn clinical guidelines into plain-English explanations of treatment options, conditions, and recovery topics.

Clinical Reviewers

Licensed clinicians (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, addiction medicine MDs) who can review articles for accuracy on a contract basis. Time commitment is modest and fully remote.

Partnerships & Outreach

Building relationships with treatment providers, recovery community organizations, and family-support groups so our directory data stays current and the resource reaches the people who need it.

Fully Distributed

Our entire team operates remotely. Contribute from any location within the United States.

Purpose-Driven Mission

Contribute to connecting individuals with critical treatment resources during pivotal moments.

Expanding Reach

Join an initiative that serves thousands of individuals across all 50 states.

What We Look For

Lived or professional proximity to recovery. Most of our team has either personal experience with addiction in their family, clinical training, or both. You don't need a recovery story to work here, but you do need to take the subject seriously — the people on the other side of our search results are not abstractions.

Independent ownership. Our team is small and distributed, which means we ship without a lot of ceremony. The people who do well here can take a vague problem, scope it, and produce something usable without needing daily check-ins.

Plain communication. We write a lot — for users, for each other, for clinicians who review our content. Concise, honest writing is a baseline expectation regardless of role.

Comfort with uncertainty. Behavioral-health data is messy, treatment guidelines evolve, and the right answer is often “it depends on the person.” We'd rather hire someone who can say “I don't know yet” than someone who fakes confidence.

Currently No Openings Available

We don't have active positions at the moment. Nevertheless, we remain eager to connect with skilled professionals who resonate with our mission of democratizing access to treatment information.

Keep in Contact

When positions open, we go to our inbox first before posting publicly. To make your note easy to revisit, please include:

  • The role area you're interested in (engineering, content, clinical review, partnerships)
  • A short paragraph on why this work matters to you personally
